Maintenance Person- Myrtle Beach

 

Elevate Cleans is seeking a Maintenance Person experienced with handyman skills to assist with the proper functioning of all Elevate Cleans managed properties.   This position is responsible for ensuring all units are operating appropriately.  It must have the foresight to make recommendations for items that require replacement or repair prior to failure, as well as the ability to know their limitations; notifying the Team Lead a skilled tradesmen, is needed.

 

Position Goals and Responsibilities:

  • This position is responsible for promoting the Elevate Cleans brand, through maintaining assigned properties to  brand standards; establishing a high standard of excellence and expectation:
    • First point of contact for all client work orders
    • Responds to all client calls, with urgency
    • Contacts company approved tradesmen to complete elevated work orders, when needed
    • Documents and tracks work orders in Elevate Cleans maintenance database through completion and invoicing
    • Performs pre-season improvements and updates to active properties
    • Makes Minor repairs to toilets, sinks, laundry room, sump pumps, faucets, and showers as needed
    • Repairs and replaces stove burners and exhaust fans, as needed
    • Ensure smoke detectors and fire extinguishers are working properly
    • Replace switches, plugs, circuit breakers, and light fixtures when necessary
    • Check lighting throughout the hotel—units and common areas
    • Maintain doors, including repairs of hinges and locks, and rekeying
    • Check and replace heating and air conditioning filters, as scheduled
    • Perform basic dry wall repairs, painting, and tile repair

 

  • Provide a variety of administrative and miscellaneous support to the Elevate Cleans team to ensure a successful season and promote client  retention:
    • Maintain an organized work area, ensuring the maintenance areas are clean, neat, and stocked
    • Assist with daily/weekly unit inspections, when needed
    • Assist Elevate Cleans team whenever possible with guest concerns
    • Assist Housekeeping staff , when needed
    • Drive as needed on behalf of  the company

 

Qualifications:

 To be considered for this position all candidates must have the following:

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience and/or training  in Carpentry, Flooring, and Painting;  in a Hospitality environment, preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation and communication (cell phone)
  • Open availability (nights, weekends, holidays, and on-calls)
  • Own tools

  • Extremely detail-oriented
  • Ability to inspect and recognize maintenance failures
  • Basic computer skills (to track Time & Attendance)
